"Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 will begin the most awaited arc in the series yet — the Future Trunks saga. Juicy details about this episode, which is just two installments away, recently emerged, preparing fans for one of the most epic sagas in the franchise yet.

In the episode of "Dragon Ball Super" airing June 6, Future Trunks will find his way to the present time. According to a Japanese TV guide translated by GojiitaAF, the title of his debut episode is "A New Chapter! The Black New Enemy."

It teases that "A new development begins! The boy returns to our time." The plot summary for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 is as follows:

After the tournament against the Universe 6, Trunks returns from the future to find Goku and the others. After defeating Cell, peace would have been restored, but the reason for his coming is...

The issue referred to is none other than the rise to power of Black Goku, who "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama teased weeks ago as he announced the arrival of Future Trunks. This new enemy is believed to be the evil version of Son Goku.

Black Goku is imagined as a ruthless villain who would wipe an entire race or planet for the fun of it. His good guy counterpart is one of the most powerful warriors in the universe.

When someone with such amount of strength goes rogue, it's simply a ticking bomb waiting to go off. To help stop this inevitable destruction, Future Trunks will go back in time in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 47 and will likely recruit Goku and the crew to helpt him defeat Black Goku.

"Dragon Ball Super" is now on episode 45, which means that the Future Trunks saga is just around the corner. The excitement heightens knowing that Toriyama is personally writing the arc.

The Future Trunks saga for "Dragon Ball Super" is expected to be darker than how the anime is usually presented. This is because the issue at hand is deemed very tragic and alarming and that Future Trunks is projected as mature and serious.

The "Dragon Ball Super" Future Trunks arc begins June 6. Before fans look forward to that, they will have to watch episode 45, where evil Copy Vegeta slowly replaces the real Saiyan Prince.

It airs this Sunday, May 29 on Fuji TV. More details about the episode can be found here.
