According to the latest spoilers, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 128 will feature Vegeta engaging Jiren in a one-on-one battle. This is after the shocking move by Android 17 in the previous episode to sacrifice his own life in order to protect his teammates. Android 17 chose to self-destruct to fend off the powerful energy attack from Jiren, and fortunately for Goku and Vegeta, this act of sacrifice saved their lives. However, Jiren is very much alive and the two Saiyan warriors' strengths have started to falter.

The title of the upcoming episode is "Noble Pride to the End! Vegeta Falls!!" which does not sound good for the fans of the Saiyan Prince. "Dragon Ball Super" has recently shown Android 17's sacrifice, and based on the available details, it will be Vegeta's turn to make a big sacrifice. This time around, Vegeta is planning to turn Jiren's attention away from Goku, as the latter needs some time to recover his strength. Fighting Jiren all by himself at his weakened state is like a death sentence, and the viewers are afraid that Vegeta will not only be eliminated in the Tournament of Power, but he could also end up dead.

The previous episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" had some scenes in which Vegeta is becoming sentimental about family and friends, and this might be a foreshadowing of a tragedy in the next phase of the tournament. Nevertheless, Vegeta has already proven so much in the Tournament of Power, most especially when he was able to defeat Toppo, which had the power of a God of Destruction.

With Vegeta's possible elimination in the next episode, this will dispel the plot rumors that Vegeta and Goku are going to perform a fusion technique in order to defeat Jiren. It is uncertain if Goku's power level is enough to match Jiren, but considering that the latter has yet to reveal the full extent of his power, Goku currently has a slim chance of winning.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 128 will be aired in Japan on Feb. 17.
