Custody battles and crazy science experiments are coming into play in the upcoming episodes of "Days of Our Lives." Spoilers hint that for one, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) is back, and with a mission.

Eve will be coming in next week's episodes, popping up on Friday and her story arc involves Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Victor (John Aniston). Naturally, the two are surprised to see Theresa's (Jen Lilley) sister. It has been a long time since she was last at Salem after all.

She has a bone to pick with Brady. She got word that he has been drinking again, as well as the dirty tricks he has done and his most recent transformation into a possible villain in town. Eve will be worried about her nephew Tate and she will decide that she wants custody of the kid.

Theresa is not around to keep Tate safe anymore. Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is leaving town too, so Tate is basically in danger of getting into the crossfire. The drama concerning Bonnie (Judi Evans) is another thing to consider, too. Eve will worry about Tate even more. The mansion is not exactly the best place for the kid to in considering what has been going on lately, so it only makes sense that Eve would want Tate to live and grow somewhere that does not have all the drama.

Of course, getting custody of the child is not the only thing Eve will be doing in Salem. It was teased before that she will get a romance of her own. As with whom? Well, Adrienne (Judi Evans) will really get back together with Justin (Wally Kurth) when she gets released from prison, so Justin's out. However, there is also a chance that she will start to have feelings for Brady.

Moving back to the biggest mystery that is happening in Salem, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers indicate that the search is afoot for Will (Chandler Massey). Dr. Rolf (William Utay) has literally been playing mind games, and that being said, when Will resurfaces down the line, fans should probably expect him to be a little different, or perhaps just the shell of a man that he once was.

Brain reprogramming has come to play in a number of storylines before, as hardcore viewers would know. This is especially true with the story arcs involving Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) and Dr. Rolf. Even though Stefano may be gone, his presence and involvement is definitely felt, especially with Dr. Rolf's impending return.

So, what does he want with Will anyway?

If there is anything fans know about Dr. Rolf, it would be these two things: bringing people back from the dead, and messing with their heads. When he brought John (Drake Hogestyn) back to life, Dr. Rolf did something to his brain.

Knowing that Stefano is still out there alive and well, he could very well be part of it. It has yet to be determined what kind of programming will occur at the lab, but what is certain is that it will not be good.

Knowing the track record the DiMeras have of brainwashing and controlling the minds with their own family members, they could easily do the same with Will. They could bring him back to life just to make him do evil things for their end.

Eileen Davidson will be back on the soap and it has been confirmed that she will be returning as Kristen DiMera. It is possible that she is also involved in this story. She will not be seen until November, but she will likely have something to do with this. Kristen may have been brought back to life, or she survived the fall in Italy.

Should EJ (then played by James Scott) be back as well, then a little DiMera army is in the midst. It does pose a question as to how many dearly departed DiMera family members could actually be coming back. All in all, the DiMeras are going to be placed front and center this time too.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12 p.m. EDT on NBC.
