'Dance Moms' season 6 cast update: Maddie Ziegler to return
After a lot of speculations, it can now be confirmed that the young dance prodigy Maddie Ziegler will return to "Dance Moms" for its sixth season.
The confirmation came from a press release posted on Eventbrite announcing "Dance Moms'"season 6 kickoff special "Girl Talk: No Moms Allowed."
According to the press release, Maddie will join her sister Mackenzie and fellow Abby Lee Dance Company students Nia, Kalani, Kendall, and Jojo in a special Q&A session. Fans can ask them about their favorite dances, boys, their alleged rivalries, what to look forward to in season 6, and their thoughts about the stern dance coach Abby Lee Miller.
"Girl Talk: No Moms Allowed" will be held at the Barnum Hall of the Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, CA on Oct. 3.
Meanwhile, Maddie recently announced that she received another milestone before she turned 13 on Sept. 30.
A few days before her birthday, Miller's favorite student announced that she has already reached 4 million followers on Instagram. This was not unexpected because Maddie's popularity surged with her numerous projects outside the dance reality show.
Maddie appeared in two much-talked-about music videos of Australian singer Sia, namely "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart." She has also had several appearances on a number of TV shows, including Disney Channel's "Austin & Ally" and her remarkable performance in an episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6.
Speculations about Maddie's supposed plans to quit "Dance Moms" have emerged in recent weeks. Earlier, she told Teen Vogue that she was ready to move on from her dancing reality show appearances. "I really want to focus on acting and even sing a little bit so I can be a triple threat. I definitely want to do a movie or a scripted TV show," she said.
"Dance Moms" season 6 is expected to premiere on Lifetime sometime in 2016.
