Cinderella lead actress Lily James believes Disney princesses should be regarded as superheroes because they are "always nice."

When People asked the British actress in an interview whether she views herself as good or wicked, the actress jokingly replied, "I don't think I'm wicked. I mean, I'm kind of wicked cool."

She shared that when her brothers first saw the Cinderella film, they were floored because her character was so nice. "They were like, 'You are not that nice!' I think it's only the princesses that are always nice and that's why they are superheroes. They are the ultimate," she said.

Even though James cannot match up to the kindness levels of Disney princesses, she does have something else in common with them.

"I definitely believe in true love and I don't think it's just for fairy tales," she confessed. "In the film when the prince and Ella meet, it's not love at first sight. In life you meet people and there's this connection happens and you feel enriched because of them and you feel like you can achieve anything. That feeling of love I think is the best feeling in the world."

James might look up to all Disney princesses for their strength and purity of heart, but she admitted that Belle from Beauty and the Beast is her personal favourite, but it's only because of their physical similarities.

"As a kid I had long brown hair and I think you always side with the princess that you think maybe you could look like," she said.

James has had the opportunity to hobnob with real-life royals, and she was surprised to discover that Prince William is a fan of the hit television series Downton Abbey, in which she plays Rose.

"Sadly I've never met Princess Kate. But I have met Will. We were at a charity event and he said hello. I think he said something about Downton (Abbey). I think he likes Downton!" the actress revealed.
