Singer Ciara can't wait to start a family with her fiancé Russell Wilson, who is a quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. To make sure she gets things right, Ciara says she will keep her eyes focused on God's love and look to Him for guidance.

"Marriage is something I look forward to. I believe in family, and the beauty of two people committing to spend their lives together. We talk about everything," Ciara told Essence Magazine. "To me, to both of us, that's the foundation you need for love to flourish and reach its highest place. I want to live with as much lightness as possible, so I can stay focused on my love of God, and being the best mom, and the best person, I can be."

Ciara said she has always been keen on being a mother, and that is why her pregnancy with son Future Zahir Wilburn, born in 2014, was something she really planned. "I'd always wanted to have my own family," she admitted. "And my pregnancy was planned when I was at a point in my life when I was finally ready to take on the responsibility."

The only thing that threw her off course was her separation with Future's father, also named Future, right after they got engaged.

"That wasn't necessarily part of my vision. But the moment I realised I was going to be a single mother, I had to reflect and reorganise my thoughts. I decided to trust that God had a plan for me, and move forward one day at a time."

When she did, she met Wilson and they both fell in love with each other. Now, they're headed towards the aisle.

The Christian couple actually made the news earlier when they announced that they will be abstaining from sex before marriage. Despite the difficulties it presented, both Ciara and Wilson are glad that they made the vow of celibacy to God because it strengthened their relationship.
