'American Horror Story' season 4 spoilers: First five episode titles hint at plot

The titles for the first five episodes of "American Horror Story" are out and they hinted at the highly-anticipated plots for the upcoming season of the hit TV series.

The fourth season of "American Horror Story" will return to the past as the show's theme will be a freak show that was a popular attraction of circuses in the 1950s. According to SpoilerTV, the premiere episode of season four is entitled Monster Among Us, which will probably introduce the members of the freak show. The report said that the episode will center on the freak show's ringmaster Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) scouting for deformed and unique people to join her show.

The second episode is entitled Massacres and Matinees and hinted that a death may come early next season. The episode may be responsible in setting the mystery that will be addressed this season.

The third and fourth episode will be apt for this upcoming Halloween and will give the back story of Edward Mordrake. The titles Edward Mordrake, Pt. 1 and Edward Mordrake, Pt. 2 suggest that Edward Mordrake will be an important character next season. According to reports, Edward Mordrake is an English heir who has two faces. His other face is located on the back of his head to which he refers to as his "evil twin." Lastly, the fifth episode is entitled "Pink Cupcakes" which is quite vague and intriguing.

Meanwhile, show runner Ryan Murphy has been releasing teasers and promos on an almost daily basis. The most recent of them is a video teaser featuring a three-legged contortionist. In the video, the contortionist was shown lying on her stomach and bringing her feet up to cover both of her eyes. The video became creepier than expected when the contortionist brought up another foot to cover her nose.

"American Horror Story" season 4 entitled Freak Show will go on air on Oct. 8. on FX.
