The new Republican presidential poll results are already out, and it appears that while Ben Carson maintains his strong presence, the numbers reveal that Donald Trump now leads the race.

The national poll conducted by Bloomberg on Nov. 1517 showed that many Republican voters consider Carson as someone who possesses the characteristics of a true president. In contrast, voters think that the business kingpin Trump will be more effective in leading the country.

The Republicans have expressed their support for the latter as he got 24 percent of the registered voters, while Carson has followed him closely with 20 percent.

Meanwhile, the other Republican candidates have increased their numbers in the poll, but it's still far from the figures of the two leading candidates.

Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida got 12 percent of the registered voters, while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz got nine percent.

The close matchup of Trump and Carson will most likely be decided by how they present their political platforms.

Although 65 percent of the Republican voters said that Carson could be a natural president compared to Trump's 23 percent, 73 percent believed that the latter has the capability to get things done as president. Only 20 percent of the Republican thinks that Carson has that quality.

J. Ann Selzer of the Selzer & Co. who helped Bloomberg on conducting the poll said that the retired surgeon's "greatest strength has always been who people think he is as a person," according to Bloomberg's report.

"Trump's greatest strength has always been what people think he can do," Selzer added.

Meanwhile, Rubio and Cruz are also going head to head. Rubio edges Cruz in the poll as 47 percent of the voters are saying that he will be a better president compared to Cruz, who only got 28 percent.
