A number of devices are expected to be introduced at the upcoming 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, and rumors have it that both Samsung and Xiaomi will participate in the annual trade show to bring out their own devices.

Samsung, which has been an active participant in tech events, will reportedly unveil the Samsung Galaxy S6 at the CES. This is earlier than the smartphone line's usual release date. However, some reports claim that the handset will arrive at the Mobile World Congress in March.

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will also be present at the CES 2015 and will take the wraps of the Xiaomi Mi5, which is the company's flagship smartphone. Xiaomi managed to steal the scene and gain the attention of the consumers by releasing devices with fair specs and features and incredibly low price tags.

According to Taiwanese media DigiTimes, Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi Mi5 sporting a strong covering material, a sapphire screen display. The handset is aimed at the high-end market; thus, it will boast high-end specs and features. The report added that the Xiaomi Mi5 will include the following specs: 5.7-inch display with quad HD 2560 x 1440 screen resolution, 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with Adreno 430 graphics chipset and 3 GB of RAM, and 20.7-megapixel main camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor. The Xiaomi Mi5 will sport the handsets' trademark of "MI" logo on the top left corner of the smartphone. The speaker grill and sensor will be placed in the middle and the front-camera to the right. More details are expected to surface as the trade draws near.

With the aforementioned specs and features, there are speculations that the Xiaomi Mi5 would beat the Samsung Galaxy S6. The massive screen display with sapphire covering will be a great advantage over its competitors. The greatest edge of the Xiaomi Mi5 will be its low price tag that most consumers want to see.
