A new leak involving the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has crawled its way online, providing details on its exciting new hardware components.

New renders of the device hinted once again at a dual-camera setup going on at the back of the device. The Xiaomi phablet was also shown with a dual curved screen, which hints of some exciting design changes.

The same leak also suggested that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will owe its power to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, the latest mobile chipset from the company.

However, a previous leak suggested otherwise, claiming that the device is getting a Snapdragon 820 instead. Either way, fans can expect excellent performance, although it will certainly feel a bit dated if the China-based tech company goes with the latter.

With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 set for launch and offerings within the premium flagship category (where the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is supposed to be under) using the latest Qualcomm has to offer, the phablet may lag behind.

However, it t still holds some serious power as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also expected to come with a 6GB RAM and 128GB native storage, which doubles what its predecessor had and certainly adds to the premium makings of the smartphone.

The original Xiaomi Mi Note 2 came in two versions – the entry-level version with the 16GB storage and the bigger one with 64GB of space. Both had 3GB RAM.

As for the rest of the specs, users are looking at a 5.5-inch OLED display, which, as suggested in various leaks, will be curved for a sleek appearance.

Speaking of which, the device will be bonded together by an all-metal body, which boosts the premium feel of the device. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also expected to don the Android 7.0 Nougat.

As for the release date, there's no word about it yet although the Xiaomi Note 2 is expected to become official in the months to come.
