The Diocese of Worcester is calling on all young people in the area to join together in an act of shared worship – and dinner fellowship – with other young Christians from across Worcestershire.

The event is Walk the Walk and the diocese is hoping it will help youngsters discover how to communicate with each other and with God on a much deeper level.

Walk the Walk, organised by the Worcester Diocese Youth Council, is also an excellent opportunity for young people to throw their difficult questions to the Bishop of Worcester.

“Walk the Walk is always lots of fun and we’d encourage anyone to come along – whether you are a regular churchgoer or are ‘just looking’,” said chairman of the Worcester Diocese Youth Council, Trevor Wooldridge.

“There are a wide range of different sessions for people to take part in, as well as ‘ice-breaker’ games and a time of worship.”

The event will also feature Drum Love – back by popular demand following last year’s success. In this side event, the young participants will be able to explore communication through music, drama and prayer.

“We are expecting around a hundred young people to come along and fill the lawns of the Old Palace,” estimated Wooldridge.

“Everyone on the Youth Council is very excited about the event, but we need people to come from across the diocese to make it a success! Please download the form from our website and let us know that you’ll be there.”

The event will take place at The Old Palace Worcester on 23 September.
