VeggieTales – the well-loved Biblically-grounded cartoon featuring anthropomorphic fruit and veg – is back, and we have a sneak preview from the upcoming season.

The show is back just in time for Easter, with the season premiere of VeggieTales: In The House coming to Netflix on Good Friday, March 25, from DreamWorks Animation.

The adventures of Bob, Larry and their other vegetable friends began back in 1993. The veggies, which bring to life the stories of the Bible while also touching on Christian themes of honesty, friendship and heroism, are the brain child of Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki.

Vischer originally created the characters, and Nawrocki – who later took over the entire project – produced the films, while both doing many of the voices.

Spanning over two-decades, the animated vegetables have moved with the times; having originally been released in direct-to-video format, the latest seasons have been picked up by Netflix.

In the upcoming season, Bob and Larry go on exciting new adventures, meeting new heroes and taking on new villains.
