Fans of George R.R. Martin who love both the books and the HBO fantasy epic are in for a long wait, with the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel "The Winds of Winter" yet to come out and "Game of Thrones" season 7 delayed.

The latest reports claim that Martin is already doing final revisions on his book, which, although it might take long, might have "The Winds of Winter" ready by next year.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 was confirmed to premiere later than the previous seasons, which could be an opportunity for Martin to release "The Winds of Winter."

"We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, 'Winter is here' — and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore," showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss said in a podcast interview.

"So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot," they went on to say.

As for the storylines to expect in "The Winds of Winter," it is being reported that a point of view chapter for Cersei will be featured in the book.

Rumors about it started when it was reported that Martin said during the Balticon event that he wrote such chapter for "The Winds of Winter." This is yet to be corroborated though.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that in "The Winds of Winter," Euron Greyjoy will take down The Wall, rise to power and will become the leader of the Castle Black.

He will make this happen with his ruthlessness, his belief that he is a supernatural being and a force to be reckoned with and the dragonbinder horn in his possession.

It is believed that the Euron Greyjoy will rise triumphant in "The Winds of Winter." However, until the book is out, fans are left to wonder and speculate.
