With the fine weather of the last few weeks bringing Britain into full summer bloom, the traditional flower festivals in some of the country's most beautiful churches are underway. Here we bring you some of the best we know about. Details at the end of how to add yours if it's not already here.

St Mary's Horsham: 18-21 June

St Mary's flower festival runs over four days, titled: "Jesu Joy". The opening concert is on Wednesday 17 June at 7.30pm, there will be dancing in the causeway the following day at 2pm and a closing celebration service on Sunday 21 June at 6.30pm.

St John's Halesowen: 19-21 June

Titled 'All kinds of everything', visit St John's during its Patronal festival and view the church dressed in floral splendour.

St Peter's Church, Shaldon: 8-12 July

The 'Childhood Memories' flower festival opens from 10.30am-6pm every day, except Sunday which will be 11.30am-4pm, concluding with Songs of Praise.

All proceeds go to St Peter's Church funds for replacing the sound system in the church. Refreshments will be served during the day. The Festival is staged by St Peter's along with "Flowers by Lesley" of Teignmouth.

Holy Trinity Church in Binegar: 18 July

Located near Shepton Mallet in Somerset, Holy Trinity is celebrating its 950th anniversary with an open garden and flower festival on Saturday 18 July.

St Andrew's Whissendine, Rutland: 28-31 August

The Glory of Music flower festival will be held over the August bank holiday weekend, beginning on the Friday.

Lambeth Palace

Lambeth Palace garden, the oldest continuously cultivated garden in London, is open to the public on the first Wednesday of the month between March and October, from 12-3pm. Admission is £4 and tea and coffee is served.

As part of the National Garden, Lambeth Palace garden will be open to the public on Thursday 18 June 5.30-8pm.

The Lambeth Parish Fete, a summer fete in support of North Lambeth Parish with food stalls, live music, games and competitions, will be held on Saturday 27 June, 12.30-5pm.
