According to the website, the reason for the delay is that filmmaker Brad Bird wants to deliver "a worthwhile successor to the original." Apparently, he is more than aware of the excitement surrounding the sequel, hence the need to deliver a story like he did in 2004.

So far, fans have been rabid in getting as much spoilers as they can about the upcoming movie. It has been previously reported that Syndrome will be returning as the villain and that he will use Jack-jack against his own family. The youngest Parr is said to be struggling with his own powers, which he has earlier demonstrated against Syndrome himself back in the first movie.

Jack-jack's siblings Dash and Violet have officially replaced their parents in fighting evil forces in town. Bob and Helen have retired from their superhero jobs, though still assisting their children once in a while.

The newest addition to the list of plot spoilers surrounds superhero costume designer Edna Mode. According to Movie Pilot, Mode may also be a superhero herself. Although viewers have frequently attributed Syndrome's defeat to the Parrs, the website claims that it is actually Mode who trounced the super villain.

This scenario will be given more attention in "Incredibles 2," as will Mode's character. She will reportedly play a more important role in the sequel. In the original movie, she is depicted as a genius in her craft, being the woman behind the superhero family's impressive wardrobe.
