Kara (Melissa Benoist) will make sure no harm comes to Winn (Jeremy Jordan) in one of the upcoming episodes of the CBS series "Supergirl."

Comic Book Movie reports that episode 10 titled "Childish Things" will see the appearance of Winn's estranged father, Toyman (Henry Czerny). The "mad criminal genius" has purportedly broken out of prison and is on his way to see Winn. Toyman is described as a classic DC supervillain who makes weapons out of toys. He gets satisfaction by creating chaos and has a twisted obsession with being reunited with his beloved child.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg first announced that Toyman would appear in a season 1B episode during his interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said that viewers would see more of Winn and Kara in episode 10 and that something would come up to "change their dynamic forever." Is this the moment that Kara will finally notice Winn as a man and not as a friend and tech wiz?

In the past episode, James (Mehcad Brooks) encouraged Winn to admit his feelings for the superhero. According to the showrunner, this was the journalist's way of distancing himself from Kara. With ex-girlfriend Lucy (Jenna Dewan Tatum) to be offered a job by Cat (Calista Flockhart) at CatCo, things will definitely be awkward among them. As for Toyman's sudden inclusion in Winn's life, Kreisberg said viewers would get to realize that there is so much more going on for the usually easygoing young man.

"Winn's been presented as a pretty happy-go-lucky, nice and sweet guy, but he came from a very dark place. It's Jeremy's best episode. He does such amazing work in it. It's always interesting when we find points of synchronicity in the characters," he said.

"Supergirl" episode 10 will air on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
