It seems like game publisher Activision will be imposing several changes for the next release of their "Skylanders" series, if the speculations and leaks turn out to be true.

Videogamer spotted several leaks pertaining to the future of the toys-to-life game series, including one from X Games champion Travis Pastrana. The new line of games from "Skylanders" was mentioned in a recent Instagram post by the American motorsports competitor and stunt expert.

"Was filming some cool stuff for a new Activision game called Skylanders Superchargers this weekend," Pastrana said earlier this month.

The post has been deleted as of today.

On the other hand, someone who writes for website Unseen64 named Tamaki also leaked out vital information about the alleged new "Skylanders" title in Twitter, saying: "The new Skylanders will definitely still have vehicles though. I know that much."

Tamaki also corrected his earlier post that claimed that the next "Skylanders" title will be called "Skylanders Overdrive," saying that he received the information from a misleading Nintendo site.

Both leaked information have fueled speculations that a possible vehicle-laden title will be introduced by Activision for the "Skylanders" series. This is possibly the reason why Pastrana was tapped by the video game company to work with them in the first place.

If this is true, then "Skylanders" is following the latest move of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's soon-to-be released Lego action-adventure toys-to-life game "Lego Dimensions," which will also feature vehicles and accessory route that can be used for their games.

Games like "Skylanders" use a device that is enabled to read the tag from the toy accessories of the game using NFC. The details imbedded in the tag will take the figure in the game to turn it to a playable character.

Activision has yet to confirm the news about the alleged "Skylanders Superchargers" game, but details are expected to be unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 event that will happen in June.
