Former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" castmember Kim Zolciak Biermann responded to negative comments about her body on her Instagram account last week. 

While some fans complimented the 36-year-old's shape, others called her names and made fun of her "thick" legs. 

The reality star shared a photo of herself in a black, asymmetrical dress and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals on Friday. "Getting ready for Spring Break!" she captioned the snap. "My bestie @shunmelson and I playing in #ZanottiFlats #DressByHelmutLang."

After compliments and criticism filled her timeline, Zolciak posted another photo, this time hiking up the dress to shore off her legs even more. 

"Yes I have thick or as some of my followers call them 'chunky' legs (Rude [expletive] People)," she responded. "Always have and I love them that way! I love every inch of me and it's evident some of you don't. 

"It's truly disheartening to see some of your comments because My kids see this stuff and I'm appalled. I guess it's time I stop posting personal pics of myself as well as my kids since some of you last night and today commented rudely about them. #GodDontLikeUgly."

Zolciak received an outpouring of support for her comments, with many complimenting the wife and mother of six for maintaining a toned physique. 

"Kim the best thing is to not acknowledge these people you look perfectly fine and it is sad that in 'America' being skinny its what's hot," one woman wrote.

"How about a normal weight? Why can't that be hot? Because that's what's normal. We are all different shapes and sizes but we all remain beautiful @kimzolciakbiermann."

Zolciak and her former "RHOA" co-star NeNe Leakes recently announced that they will appear on a new reality show called "Road to Riches," which will document the women as they travel the country. Zolciak also appears on the reality show "Don't Be Tardy" with her husband, Kroy Biermann, and their children.
