Will Nina Dobrev shift from being a vampire to being a zombie?

The former "The Vampire Diaries" lead actress recently uploaded a photo of her and "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus during the American Music Awards (AMA).

The photo led to speculations claiming that the actress was trying to get cozy with the actor to help her land a role in the fan-favorite post-apocalyptic TV series.

According to a report from Celeb Dirty Laundry, Dobrev apparently realized that her decision to quit her role as Elena Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries" to have a better chance of making it big in the movies is not working according to plan. This was reportedly why she was said to be trying to go back to TV. Since "The Walking Dead" is one of the most popular shows at the moment, it is logical if the actress would want to be a part of that show.

However, Gossip Cop recently refuted the rumors, saying that there is no basis for the claims that Dobrev was using Reedus to get on "The Walking Dead." The site also mentioned that Dobrev's photo with the actor has no deeper meaning.

Also, the rumors claiming that Dobrev is unemployed are reportedly not true. The actress is now working with the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor Domhnall Gleeson and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" star Christina Applegate in the romantic-comedy film titled "Crash Pad." She is also included in the cast of the 2016 film "Arrivals."

Meanwhile, other rumors claimed that the creators of "The Vampire Diaries" are now worried about the continuous drop of the show's ratings after Dobrev's departure. This is why they are trying to recapture the fans' interest by casting Leslie-Anne Huff, who is said to look a lot like Dobrev.

Huff is reportedly portraying the role of Somerhalder's new love interest in the upcoming episodes of the series.
