Moto Droid Turbo vs. Moto X specs comparison: Motorola ups its game with latest handsets
With the Moto X 2014 already unveiled and the Moto Droid Turbo still to be released, Motorola fans can easily see how the company has upped its game when it comes to the specs and features of its latest devices.
Comparing the two handsets in terms of its hardware and storage, the Moto X is known for its 2.5 GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor that features 2 GB of RAM. It also runs on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, which can be upgraded to the Android L. For its internal storage, users can choose between the 16 GB and 32 GB variants.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Moto Droid Turbo is also powered by a quad-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 2.6 GHz and features a Snapdragon 805 processor. Running on the same OS as the Moto X, the Droid Turbo offers 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
In terms of their display, the Moto X's 5.2-inch AMOLED display boasts a 1080 x 1920p resolution and comes with an aluminum frame. Users can also personalize the front and back panels.
The new Droid Turbo, on the other hand, features a 5.2-inch QHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protecting the screen and comes with a 1440 x 2560 screen resolution.
Photo and video capture will not be a problem with Moto X's 13-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 2-megapixel camera front shooter. The Droid Turbo is expected to sport a 21-megapixel rear camera, also with dual LED flash, although information about its front snapper has not yet been made known.
Concerns regarding battery issues can be addressed as well with the Moto X's Li-Ion 1860 mAh battery and Droid Turbo's highly impressive gargantuan 3900 mAh battery.
Among its wide range of features, Motorola fans are looking forward to Droid's Turbo Charge that allows the device to last up to 8 hours even when charged for only 15 minutes. Moto Actions, Moto Assist, and Moto Voice are also included as basic Motorola apps.
Both the Moto X and Droid Turbo also provide support for near field communication (NFC).
While users can already purchase the Moto X 2014 for $500, the price for the Moto Droid Turbo is yet to be announced.
