Folks who have the Moto G 2014 will be glad to know that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the said device is now rolling out.

The Moto G 2014 was among the first ones to get the Android Lollipop update before and now, it will also have the privilege of being among the first devices under Motorola's wing to get the latest Android operating system (OS) that was first introduced last September.

With that said, the Moto G 2014 will be making a big jump in the Android OS binge, since its last update was the Android 5.0.2.

This means that the Moto G 2014 still carries the dreaded bugs such as memory leaks and poor performance that required owners to reboot the device at least once a week.

But all that should be resolved soon, together with important security update as well as new features that Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been known to bring.

Such include improved battery life, thanks to the Doze mode app; better control as far as what apps can access; Google Now on Tap; and Android Pay, among others, as reported by GottaBeMobile

With Moto G 2014 running on Android 5.0.2, security issues and other improvements are also expected to be included which should be long overdue but welcome news for Moto G 2014 owners looking for solutions to their handset.

While there are some users reportedly getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, coverage could take a while to reach certain Moto G 2014 owners. Hence, it would be best to keep a close eye on the phone's notification settings just in case the update is ready for download and application.

Before doing installing the update, it would be wise to back up the phone data. It would also be wise to make sure that the phone is connected a reliable Internet connection and that it is charged by at least 50% before proceeding.
