Actress Anne Hathaway has expressed her desire to reprise her role as Catwoman in the upcoming Man of Steel 2 movie.

The 31-year-old actress, who played Selina Kyle/Catwoman in 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises" alongside Christian Bale's Batman/Bruce Wayne, recently told MTV that it would be pretty cool to take on the role again.

"I would love it if that happened, no one's talked to me about it and I think- probably not gonna happen but that would be pretty cool," she said.

Hathaway's performance on the Dark Knight flick earned rave reviews, and fans would love to see her return to the big screen.

Actresses that have played Catwoman in the past include Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The Batman/Superman movie will see the return of Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as the Daily Planet's Editor-in-Chief Perry White. Gal Gadot will star as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Irons Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred.

One role yet to be confirmed is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's role as the Green Lantern. The actor continues to tease fans on his possible involvement in the Batman/Superman flick, but no official confirmation or announcement has been made by DC Comics or the producers of the movie.

The Man of Steel sequel will be directed by Zack Snyder and has been scripted by David S. Goyer.

The release date of Man of Steel 2, aka Batman vs Superman film, is set to release on May 6, 2016.
