The highly anticipated MacBook Air 2016 is set to be released this June, reports BreatheCast. The Cupertino-based company is said to release it at the WWDC 2016.

They may also possibly release it earlier than June, since Apple has a reputation for slipping away product information before the date agreed upon. The best date for unveiling this product would still be the annual Worldwide Developers Conference by Apple, kicking off this June 13, but nobody has any idea yet which products will be upgraded and removed from the roster.

NeuroGadget, on the other hand, suggest that Apple plans to create a thinner and lighter 11-inch MacBook this 2016. It will reportedly have a longer battery life, improved cooling modules, a new chassis, a USB Type-C port, a Force Touch trackpad, and an Intel Skylake processor with better graphics and RAM. However, other rumors from IB Times state that the MacBook Air will be killed off by Apple, since analysts predict that the MacBook Air will be gradually replaced by the Retina MacBook series. Ming-Chi Kuo, one analyst from KGI Securities, believes that instead of an 11-inch MacBook, they will be launching a 13-inch upgraded MacBook instead.

Yibada, on the other hand, believes that the MacBook is still going to be unveiled this 2016, but at a later date than the WWDC. They also report rumors about the new MacBook being the first of the Mac line to feature Siri as an acessible app on the laptop. Apple will reportedly skip unveiling it on the WWDC and they will release the product in the fourth quarter of 2016 instead. So far, the company has remained quiet, with no hints at which of the rumors will be true. There is still no official announcement, so fans will have to wait until the WWDC to learn more.
