American actor Kelsey Grammer's life has undergone a positive change since starring in the small screen drama Killing Jesus by National Geographic, and he truly believes that the story of Jesus Christ is something that everybody should see.

Grammer plays King Herod in Killing Jesus, and he described the historical figure as a "political animal" who is a "servant of two masters." It was King Herod who gave the orders to kill Jesus even if He was just a baby, and Grammer believes that the infamous king is still paying for his decisions up to "this day."

The actor said that he grew up reading the Bible and going to Sunday school so he is familiar with the characters of Killing Jesus. And while King Herod was one of the most hated characters in history, Jesus is his opposite and Grammer believes that His story is something that gives love and hope to a lot of people.

"It's always important to tell a story about Jesus Christ because He's the prophet of love, He is God's son," he said, according to Breathe Cast.

Grammer added that it's time people start talking about faith again because a lot of people have been losing it. "We've got to start talking about alternatives to what's been happening now. You know a lot of people are abandoning faith and maybe that's not such a great thing," he said, according to Hit Flix.

The actor is thrilled that faith-based films and shows are becoming more popular now, and he is happy to be a part of it.

"I think faith is a wonderful thing," Grammer said. "And I even think religion's a wonderful thing... I don't have any difficulty doing a show that's about faith or doing a show that actually even is affirmative about faith."
