The wait for the arrival of a new iOS 9.2 jailbreak continues as both of the well-known hacking groups have yet to come up with anything they can share to users.

The iOS 9.2 has been out for a while now, and even the 9.2.1 update was released back in January. Hence, the assumption of many is that new software should have been made available by this point.

As always, users looking for a new jailbreak are looking toward Pangu and TaiG in the hopes that one of the two may have something available, but both have yet to deliver.

The lack of an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is leading some users to think that there may not be one made available at all, but this may be a very pessimistic take on the current situation.

Those suggesting that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak may not be made available are subscribing to the idea that the hacking groups may wait until the iOS 9.3 update is released before they make their move, but this is likely not the case.

Apple is not expected to release the iOS 9.3 update for at least a month, and according to Gotta Be Mobile, that is simply too much time for there to be no new software made available to the jailbreaking community.

Both Pangu and TaiG are currently expected to release some kind of iOS 9.2 jailbreak ahead of the 9.3 update's arrival; the only question is when they might make it available.

At the very least, jailbreak seekers can take comfort in the idea that the iOS 9.2 is not some kind of impregnable software. As The Inquisitr reported, two hackers have already shown that the iOS 9.2 and even the 9.2.1 update can be broken into. Unfortunately, the two hackers have declined to share their jailbreaks, meaning Pangu and TaiG remain the public's best hope for new software.

While the wait has been lengthy thus far for iOS 9.2 jailbreak seekers, there remains hope that new software will be released sooner rather than later.
