As previously reported, the only proper jailbreak for iOS 9 has been achieved by Youtube user iH8sn0w and he has announced that the jailbreak method will not be released to the public. According to a report from GottaBeMobile, both TaiG and PanGu teams are currently working on jailbreaking iOS 9 and iOS 9.0.1 instead of iOS 8.4.1.

Instead, the report cites a new hacker known as Luca Todesco to be the person to properly jailbreak iOS 8.4.1. According to the report, Todesco has already made big steps and that the official release of his jailbreak will be within a few weeks. 

TaiG and PanGu teams, which primarily focused on jailbreaking iOS 8 and its updates until the release of 8.4.1, have now focused their attention solely on iOS 9 and its updates. PanGu's official website confirms that there is no proper jailbreak for the new iOS at the moment but they have a "semi jailbreak" for iOS 9.1 beta, which is unstable at the time being.

One issue with this is that normal iOS consumers cannot just download the iOS 9.1 beta. Users must have created a special profile from Apple's public beta website before they even installed the regular version iOS 9., limiting how many people might be able to take advantage of the "semi jailbreak."

Given that, the report from GottaBeMobile suggests that for the moment, users should attempt to downgrade back down to iOS 8.4.0 as it is the version that has the most stable jailbreak at the moment. As it stands, there are no jailbreak methods for iOS 9 and its updates although, it is indicated that one will release soon.

As previously reported, one of the reasons why the jailbreak methods for iOS 8 and iOS 8.4.1 are not applicable for iOS 9 and its updates is because Apple added in a few glitch fixes that would no longer allow the method used for jailbreaking iOS 8.4.1 to work on iOS 9.
