Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) will do everything that he can to protect his son and Adalind (Claire Coffee) when "Grimm" season 5 returns this week.

In the trailer for the episode titled "Bad Night," Nick will be seen confronting Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) to force him to tell him where Adalind and her son went after he fled in episode 19. But instead of getting their location, Renard tells Nick that in order to protect all of his loved ones, he must learn to let them go. But Renard's sentiments will not sit well with Nick, who believes that protecting his loved ones means he needs to "kill the people who threaten them."

But does Adalind really want to be rescued by Nick?

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, the mother of two will have to make a big decision in order to protect Nick and her two children against their enemy, the dangerous Wesen group called Black Claw.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"Nick leans on Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) as he worries that he may lose everything as he continues to battle Black Claw. Renard ramps up his campaign as election time nears. Elsewhere, Adalind is faced with a very difficult decision in order to protect her children. Meanwhile, Hank's (Russell Hornsby) relationship with Zuri (guest star Sharon Leal) takes an unexpected turn and Wu (Reggie Lee) tries to gain control of his new reality."

This means that the blossoming relationship between Hank and Zuri could end in danger. The couple first met in the grocery, where Hank started to fall in love with Zuri almost immediately. This could mean that Zuri may have been keeping something from Hank all along.

The episode 20 of "Grimm" season 5 airs on NBC on Friday, May 13.
