The CW's TV adaptation of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" will not air until early next year, which means that it still has enough time to include more character additions.

Recent reports claim that Falk Hentschel has been tapped to portray the role of Carter Hall/ Hawkman in the soon-to-be released sci-fi action-adventure series. The casting addition of the 30-year-old German actor was confirmed by series executive producer Phil Klemmer, saying that he will be included in the list of regular cast members of the show.

Hawkman's origins will reportedly be tackled in the series. According to a report from Christian Post, both Carter and Kendra have the ability to access the mythical powers of the legendary Egyptian Hawk god Horus. This allows them to become the winged warriors that possess laser-point eyesight, unbelievable speed, as well as incredible superhuman strength.

Hentschel earlier appeared in an episode of ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and the CW's DC universe, particularly in the second season of "The Flash" as well as in the fourth season of "Arrow." In "Legends of Tomorrow," he will star alongside Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/ The Atom) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/ White Canary) from "Arrow"; Ciara Renee (Kendra Saunders/ Hawkgirl), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/ Captain Cold), and Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/ Heat Wave) from "The Flash"; and Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) and Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), who will both be introduced in the upcoming series.

Klemmer earlier described these characters as "screw-ups" who call themselves "legends."

"Instead of tiptoeing through history, they're plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they're going to screw the future up rather than fix it... It's going to be total madness," the series executive producer said during an interview with The Entertainment Weekly
