Recently, "Berserk," a dark-themed fantasy manga, was announced to resume its monthly chapter installments. Rumors of a "Berserk" video game have also surfaced.

A recent article from animenewnetwork.com revealed that the 14th issue for 2015 of Young Animal magazine, which is published by Hakenshusha Inc., has announced that "Berserk" will resume its monthly chapter installments after the manga went on a 10-month hiatus. "Berserk" chapter 338 is set to come out with the 15th issue of the said magazine.

A tweet from "Berserk's" official Twitter page, which was posted only hours prior to the publication of this article, confirms the news and that Chapter 338 will be out in Young Animal Magazine today, July 24.

The latest break from "Berserk" was due to its "mangaka" Kentarou Miura's decision to work on Gigantomakhia, which is a science-fiction manga comprised of six chapters. Prior to his 2014-15 hiatus, Miura also took a year off "Berserk" after releasing the manga's 37th volume, which got released in March of 2013. The manga resumed publication in April of the following year, but again went on a break after releasing two chapters (334 and 335). Another chapter (336) was released in June 2014. Note that the last published chapter, 337 (Bridge of Parting), was released on Sept. 26, 2014.

In almost two years and a half, only four chapters were released for "Berserk" — something that the fans of the illustration series are not too keen about. The author is flamed on a number of manga/anime-oriented communities for taking such long breaks. The same can be said for Yoshihiro Togashi, who also gets his share of the heat with his frequent and often long HunterxHunter hiatus periods.

On related news, Kenjo Saito, game director for "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance," revealed that he is interested in developing a game based on "Berserk." "I want to make the 'KillLaKill' or 'Berserk,' " Saito's response when a fan suggested Gatchaman and KARAS for his next game project.
