World Vision Australia (WVA) commissioned Tim Costello as their new CEO on 16th March.

More than 400 guests attended the ceremony at Crossway Baptist Church, Burwood, Victoria. Colleagues and friends were there to give Tim warm reception and tributes.

Chairman of the Board WVA, Peter King invited Tim to sign the official commissioning document and provided a statement of acceptance. He also spoke about his vision for WVA as well as trusting Tim's ability to unite compassion and leadership in his new role.

Tim was officially recognized as the new CEO of WVA after individuals presented symbolic gifts as an indication of support. These included the WVA vision statement, symbolizing the vision of the organization and a photo of a child symbolizing the people they serve.

The commissioning service ended with a presentation of bible reading and Tim affirmed of his commitment to his new role by reciting the WVA vision statement, "Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness. Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so."
