A woman from Punta Gorda, Florida is headed to court not because she did something wrong. Rather, she's headed to court simply because she was proud enough to display her faith on her car's windshield.

Judy Jones told NBC News that she was pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol because of her Christian faith. Her truck's windshield carries vinyl lettering that says, "What Would Jesus Do?"

The trooper said it's wrong for Jones to have an obstruction on her windshield, but Jones thinks it's because the trooper just did not like her declaration of faith since every car has a line on its windshield that marks the lowest point for tint before the latter is legally considered obstructing a driver's view.

"First thing he said to me, he said, 'I want you to know that you are breaking the law.' And I said, 'How am I breaking the law, sir?' He said, 'With that sign up there, that Jesus thing up there,'" she said.

She received a $100 ticket and is headed to court because of her windshield. "I'm going to court for Jesus," Jones said.

Florida law states that no person is allowed to drive a car that has any signage or material on a windshield that is not transparent. But Jones argued, "It is not obstructing any, my sight at all. I was picked out to be picked on in the name of Jesus."

Meanwhile, Russell Uhlig, who has decal installations on his cars and has the same stickers as Jones, shared that he's never been ticketed.

"In no vehicle that I have had that put on, from mine to anyone else's does it block that view. Every one of those decals are in that tint strip," said Uhlig.

As for the trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol, he insisted that he did not ticket Jones because of the content of her windshield. Jones is due in court on Thursday.
