What Tim Tebow's former teammate said about him

Tim Tebow's former teammate, Jets wide receiver Eric Decker has nothing but nice things to say about Tebow, saying that the Christian athlete can easily find himself a spot in the league, even if he will not be playing a quarterback.

"Really, Tebow can create his own role. I know he wants to be head quarterback, but he can create a role for himself that can help a team in many ways whether it's the two-point conversion if it's moved up or a goal-line package," he told The New York Daily News.

Decker believes that his former teammate has the athletic ability to play a personal punt protector, and can even play other positions. He has no doubt that Tebow's football team will find a way to utilise him and his athletic prowess.

"His game is unique. It's special," Decker said. "He can do a lot of different things. I don't know what their role for him is going to be.... What I learned when I was in Denver is that we built our offense around what he did well. We put in read-options. We put in some things that made him successful... ran him out of the pocket. If you want him to be 'The Guy,' you build your offense around him."

Tebow might be eager to play football again, but the athlete has earlier admitted that there is something he considers far more important - charity work. This is why Tebow started the Tim Tebos Foundation, which focuses on adoption aid and children's health care.

"Everyone needs to do something greater than themselves, to do something for other people," he told PEOPLE. "That's why we're here; that's why we're always looking for more ways that the Foundation can help others. I want to build a legacy that is greater than football."
