Casting Crown's lead singer Mark Hall has been home from the hospital for over a week already, and his wife Melanie has said that he is getting a little better every day. However, they find themselves disagreeing on a lot of things because Mark wants to do so many things while his wife insists that he should rest.

On the band's Facebook page, Melanie wrote that Mark is so used to doing a lot of things that it's a struggle getting him to rest. She added that "being cooped up in the house for a month" is not something Mark feels thrilled about, but he is forced to stay put after having his kidney removed.

"Mark has been a full time youth pastor for the last 24 years and about 12 years ago added songwriter and traveling musician to his plate. In addition, for the last 5 or 6 years he's been serving on the worship team at church every Sunday Morning. He's a very busy man and not taken to sitting and doing nothing for very long," Melanie said.

She added that Mark has been sleeping in a lot, and he has even had youth ministry staff meetings at the house and also several times on Facetime. He also keeps in touch with his students by texting them constantly. Even though Mark is not a huge fan of television, he and the kids have started watching all Marvel movies again. He even snuck out of the house one evening just to work on church.

"These things have all kept him in good spirits," she said. Mark told her that doctors said that it should take four to six weeks before he feels 50 per cent better, but he already feels up by 50 per cent. But while Melanie reminds him that healing is coming, it will only happen "slow and steady instead of overnight."
