'Watch Dogs 2' release date July 2016 with new characters and locations

Latest rumors claim that the sequel to the high-selling game "Watch Dogs" will be released in July 2016, bringing in new characters and locations. The game will surely head to the latest consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as to PC.

According to a report from a source called Cyberland, as reported by KDramaStars, the installment of the game will feature nine new locations: Tokyo, Singapore, New York, Dubai, San Francisco, Silicon City, Stockholm, Beijing, and London. It was reported that New York and New Jersey will be added to "Watch Dogs 2," but New Jersey was already added as a form of update to the first "Watch Dogs" game.

"Watch Dogs" follows the story of hacker Aiden Pearce who uses information technology and his hacking abilities to turn the city of Chicago into a weapon against his enemies. However, it is said that a new character will be introduced in the new game. It is still unconfirmed if the new character will be the main or just a new addition to the storyline.

"I can't say because I don't know actually. We'll see," says Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. "We knew it would be polarizing; some people loved the characters and some didn't. It was difficult to please everybody with that character. Now, having seen the reaction, we know what we will do next to improve that."

Some gamers have complained that the current "Watch Dogs" lack different important features like more weapons, activities to explore, and gameplay aspects. These will surely be seen in the sequel of the game, including more destructive weapons. Moreover, it can be expected that the sequel will have improved graphics, new locations, new side-missions to test players' skills, as well as new activities in the game.

Ubisoft first released the "Watch Dogs" game on May 27, with numerous features to be unlocked to help the gamer throughout the game. The game topped the charts last summer. "Watch Dogs" is currently available for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC for $59.99.
