Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon and Shane Claiborne lined up for Scottish festival

A fab line up has been announced for Scotland's newest music festival.

Revolution Music Fest is taking place on 28 July on the site of CLAN Gathering in St Andrews, which is being held a day later.

Speakers and acts confirmed for Revolution include the Rend Collective Experiment, Worship Central with Tim Hughes and Ben Cantelon, Steph McLeod, and Shane Claiborne.

More than 3,000 people from churches across Scotland and beyond are expected to descend upon the small Scottish town for the festival.

The main stage is being sponsored by Tearfund, while Open Doors is sponsoring Stage 2.

Prices are just £20 for youth and students, and £25 for adults. A special partnership with Stagecoach is offering discounted travel fares to and from the event site.

Revolution chair Alan McWilliam said: “I am just so excited to be a part of the team launching this new festival into/for Scotland. It has been fantastic to have the advice, support and help of Justin Dowds of Frenzy to get this off the ground and I would like to personally thank him.

"We are expecting people from all over the UK. There will be great activities, a brilliant atmosphere and an amazing line up of the church’s best artists - and all at an unbeatable price.

"There is the option to make a weekend of it by camping on site and stay over to join in Clan Gathering on the Sunday – or even better why not stay for the whole week of Clan Gathering – we would love to have you with us!”
