The Vampire Diaries -- "Rescue Me"CW

Stefan Salvatore will leave Mystic Falls and will have a new profession.

The premiere episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 is entitled "I'll Remember" and will show what happened to Stefan (Paul Wesley) after the major incident of the "Other Side" that allegedly cost the life of his brother Damon and Bonnie.

Reports claimed that Stefan will play a huge role in the first episode of the sixth season of the series. He will have a new home and a new job. However, the details of Stefan's new job were not disclosed, but his new job will be something that can be done in his new home. There were speculations that it is a home-based job.

The sudden disappearance of Damon and Bonnie is the main reason why Stefan will leave Mystic Falls. At the last San Diego ComicCon, Paul Wesley revealed that his character will not be seen with the rest of the group. Reports said that he will still look for Damon and Bonnie who disappeared after Project Kaboom. Their whereabouts are still unknown. Previous reports claimed that he will go soul searching after feeling guilty and lost with what happened to his brother.

Stefan's former flame and Damon's love interest, Elena, will be deeply affected by what happened and will speak to Stefan to consult her confusion. She will be devastated by what happened, but will eventually move on. Rumors stated that she will also take up a new job and have a new love interest.

Does this mean that Damon will not be coming back next season? It seemed that everyone in Mystic Falls is turning a new leaf in their lives after completely dealing with the Other Side.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 6 will be back on air on October 2 at 8 pm EST on CW Network.
