With Disney Pixar confirming a sequel for "The Incredibles," rumors and speculation have been circulating the internet about who the new villain will be.

Early reports hint that the new villain may come from within the Parr family as theories suggest that youngest son Jack Jack could go dark as he enters a rebellious adolescent phase, reported Game n Guide. It can be recalled that at the end of the first movie, Jack Jack finally showed his true powers and was instrumental in taking down Syndrome, the villain in the first installment.

Meanwhile, fresh rumors hint that it could be Mr. Incredible's best bud Frozone who turns evil this time around. According to reports, Frozone may have grown tired of being his best friend's sidekick and wants the limelight to himself.

Meanwhile, director Brad Bird has admitted that while they are not releasing details about the plot or the storyline of the sequel, audiences will feel the familiar vibe of the franchise since they will be banking on the strengths of the original movie.

In an earlier interview, Bird explained that one of the main challenges that the team had to face in coming up with a continuation of the story 12 years after the original was "repeating yourself, without repeating yourself."

He added that he wanted to keep the same character feel as the original movie but making sure to serve up something fresh to the viewers. He also factored in the shift in the trend of movies now.

"But what's changed is there were only two other superhero franchises at the time Incredibles came out. One of them was X-Men and the other was Spider-Man, and now there are 400 billion of them and there's a new superhero movie every two weeks. What you don't want to do is trot over the same turf in the same way everyone else is. So we're trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was, which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us. But we're having a good time," he said.

"The Incredibles 2" is set to hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
