Fans can finally check in with a problematic Alicia in "The Good Wife" season 7, which premieres  Oct. 4. The opening episode is titled "Bond," which seems to represent the former State Attorney's means to restart her law career.

In the premiere, Alicia will be seen standing for arrestees who wish to be out on bail in bond court. As per star Julianna Margulies, this is what people do when they can't get in a law firm. "Alicia needs to make some money and no law firm will hire her," the actress told CBS Los Angeles.

This is also the cue for Cush Jumbo's character Luca Quinn to step in. Quinn will compete for her clients too, and they eventually form a friendship as they go about the work after Quinn realizes Alicia's struggles. Jumbo told the same site that her character "has this incredible ease about her."

This should at least boost Alicia as she attempts to get back up even though no other law firm wants to have someone whose name is so horrifically tainted on board their team. Alicia was expelled from her own law firm in the last season, and in "The Good Wife" season 7, she will work on starting one.

In a new teaser, however, it looks as if the upsurge of problems has made Alicia turn to alcohol for comfort. From occasional wine-drinking, Alicia now seems to submerge herself with "little margaritas" and it just gets worse from there.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, show creators Robert and Michelle King teased that the new season will mostly be about Alicia recreating (and it won't be easy) "a kind of family-like relationship that is a combination of work and home" with her second kid moving forward to college.

The new season will also see Peter run for president with the help of campaign operative Ruth Eastman, who will be played by Margo Martindale.
