'The Flash' season 2 episode 15 spoilers: King Shark returns as Diggle and Lila head to Central City

Barry and Diggle team up to defeat King Shark in the next "The Flash" season 2 episodeCW

The next episode of "The Flash" season 2 is a mild crossover between the show and "Arrow." The re-emergence of King Shark has brought Lila and Diggle all the way to Central City "to give [Barry] a heads up."

King Shark, as fans will remember, was first seen early this season particularly in "The Fury of Firestorm" attacking Barry as the Flash, only for the scarlet speedster to be saved by Harry who was fresh from Earth-2 at that time. The man-shark is another one of the metahumans sent by Zoom to take down Flash.

In the next "The Flash" season 2 episode very aptly titled "King Shark," the titular monster sets his sights on Central City after successfully breaking out of his holding tank down at the ARGUS headquarters. "This thing's a killing machine," Diggle warns in the promo.

King Shark will be attacking Joe, Iris, Wally and Barry. It looks like he is not done going after the Flash yet, as this is what he was instructed to do. Diggle and Lila will help Team Flash to stop King Shark from killing any innocents.

This "The Flash" season 2 episode is bound to be fun to watch, knowing there's "Jaws" all over it. For the uninitiated, it is the 1975 Steven Spielberg-directed cult classic that follows the story of a gigantic great white shark attacking the small city of Amity.

"Jaws" has been referenced multiples times in "The Flash" courtesy of Cisco, whose love for pop culture just shines in everything he says. This time, it's full-on, complete with the music, as seen in the promo.

In the previous episode of "The Flash" season 2, Barry was successful to bring Jesse to safety. However, Jay Garrick was taken by Zoom to Earth-2 just before the portal was closed.

This means that the second Earth will still be featured in the next episodes to come. The fate of Killer Frost, who helped the team hold off Zoom for them to escape, will also be revealed.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 15 "King Shark" airs Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on CW.
