"Sleepy Hollow" is one of the most successful TV shows from Fox. Just after airing three episodes from season 1, the TV series got renewed for a season 2, which is just around the corner from today. The producers are planning to have 18 episodes for season 2.

In the season 1 finale, Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills were separated due to an evil force. Mills went to purgatory traded places with Katrina, Crane's wife. And the Horseman of War buried Crane alive. Later, the Horseman of Death took Katrina and Jenny had a car crash accident. With everyone busy dealing with something else, the apocalypse is free to wreak havoc.

In season 2, fans will be excited to see how Mills and Crane will reunite again and fight the evil that is coming. "War isn't coming to Sleepy Hollow, it's been there all along," the opening dialogue for the season 2 preview. And in the promo, it can be seen that Moloch's plan is playing out well.

Evil Takes Hold is the slogan for season 2. This evil is what we all have to wait and see, but it's pretty definite that the Horseman of Death will still be a villain in season 2.

What else is to be expected in the new season? The two Horsemen haven't been revealed yet, but Benjamin Franklin will be introduced in the upcoming season. According to Screen Rant, there's still so many stories to be told in "Sleepy Hollow." After all, the writers had extra time to pen the backstories of the Horsemen and integrate them to the current storyline.

"Sleepy Hollow" will return on FOX on September 22 at 9 pm.
