While there have been limited details on what is to come on the upcoming episodes of "Scandal" season four, which have focused mostly on President Fitzgerald Grant's involvement in a Supreme Court justice's death, the show's stars have revealed a handful of information for highly anticipating fans.

The political thriller recently returned to the small screen for its fourth season, and its actors generously shared some tidbits on what the audience can expect from the fresh episodes. These include Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) coming back for his second term in the White House and Olivia (Kerry Washington) quitting OPA.

Intense changes are expected for the Gladiators, and first lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) will have to face her White House duties even in the midst of her son's passing.

Kerry Washington did open up about having a lot of questions regarding where things are going for most of the characters.

"We are starting episode 405 and things are so intense at this point that we're so filled with question marks," the actress said.

Meanwhile, Scott Foley also opened up about his character Jake, his feelings for Olivia, and the great possibility that he is still alive despite not being shown with Olivia on the beach in the "Scandal" teaser.

Bellamy Young (Mellie) pointed out her character's strengths and weaknesses, and believes that she can face the world, even with her son's death, by being physically, emotionally, and spiritually prepared.

However, not all characters are expected to pull through easily. Cyrus, played by Jeff Perry, is likely to be distraught by the loss of his partner especially with him blaming himself for the terrible incident.

Andrew, portrayed by Jon Tenney, may have a hard time reuniting with Mellie whereas George Newbern's character, Charlie, is expected to have "dirtier" hands and "elbows deep in blood."

"Scandal" season four airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
