"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is already going to feature one of the most iconic villains in the "Star Wars" saga — Darth Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones). But another classic villain may be joining him in this film.

In the latest TV spot released by Lucasfilm, the silhouette of a familiar character was spotted five seconds into the footage. Is that Grand Moff Tarkin (Peter Cushing)? Well, the character's face wasn't shown at all, but many believe that the man looking at the Death Star is Tarkin himself. The character definitely has the same hair and head shape as Tarkin. He even has the same figure.

If he going to be in "Rogue One," who is going to play him? Cushing died in 1994. Tarkin was played by Wayne Pygram in "Star Wars: Episode III —Revenge of the Sith," and the actor had to wear make-up so he would look like Cushing.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that there are rumors saying the character will be recreated digitally for the film. It will be interesting to see how Lucasfilm resurrects the character even though the actor who plays him has been deceased for a long time.

EW added that "Rogue One" executive producer and visual effects supervisor John Knoll hinted they were going to do something revolutionary in the film.

"I have to tread lightly there because some of the fun bits of innovation are stuff that I've been asked not to talk about yet. You know, we want to hold that back," he said.

Was he hiding the fact that they were going to bring the character back to life digitally?

Meanwhile, in an interview with Empire magazine (via Slash Film), Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that there wouldn't be a sequel to "Rogue One."

Director Gareth Edwards also jokingly said that the sequel would be directed by George Lucas, referencing "Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope."

"Rogue One" is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 16, in the United States.
