Fans are expecting that Emily Thorne will be the most shocked upon David Clarke's return. However, it seemed that that will not be the case. Latest spoilers claimed that Victoria will be most surprised to learn that David is alive.

The fourth season of "Revenge" is set to return to the small screen on Sept. 24 and will pick up where the cliffhanger episode finale of the previous season left off. Part of last's season final episode was the reappearance of David Clarke rising from the dead. David Clarke is set to be a part of the regular cast next season.

It was thought that David Clarke was dead after a plane crash. Since then, her daughter Amanda Clarke had dedicated her life avenging the death of her father. Now that he's alive after all, he is set to stir things up next season. There were a lot of speculations about how other characters will react to his return.

According to the show's producer Aaron Harberts, Emily will take the news calmly. Meanwhile, Victoria will be shocked at David's return. "If Victoria Grayson manages to get to him first, she could convince David to turn on Emily. If Victoria gets to David before Emily does, then she has the upper hand. She has the control and could he be manipulated by her?" Harberts told E! Online.

However, one thing is certain next season - the rift between Emily and Victoria is far from over as both parties will seek revenge. Emily will now avenge the death of her fiancé Aiden who was poisoned by Victoria. Victoria, on the other hand, will get back at Emily after she locked her up in a mental institution.

The cast and crew of "Revenge" have begun filming the fourth season of the hit suspense TV series. The producer of "Revenge" spilled that next season will tap to the emotions of the characters. "Revenge" season 4 will return to ABC on Sept. 28.
