"Outlander" has been a great success in the TV industry — thanks to showrunner Ron Moore. Although Moore is considered one of the great minds behind the TV series, he won't be taking the director's seat this year for season 2, Daily Record reported.

Moore held a Q&A session with "Outlander" fans on Twitter, in which he talked about the progress of season 2.

While he already gave away the fact that he won't be directing an episode, he did mention that he had written one of the episodes in season 2.

A fan on Twitter asked if he would be directing or writing an episode, to which Moore revealed "no" but he did write the first episode.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that "Outlander" season 2 will be airing its premiere episode either in March or April, and this has been revealed by Moore himself on the same Twitter Q&A portion.

Furthermore, the second season could feature author Diana Gabaldon's characters, Roger and Bree, but casting is still in the works and the team has yet to find the right people to play the roles.

Season 2 will show that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will be heading to Paris to live a better life. However, they could still meet some problems along the way and life won't be so kind to them.

Jamie will be involved in politics for the next season; on the other hand, Claire will be helping him recover from the traumatic event in his life, while also dealing with her pregnancy.

The couple will be going through a difficult time but will lean on each other for support, Realty Today stated.

Meanwhile, "Outlander 2" will be based on Gabaldon's second book "Dragonfly in Amber." The show had been to different places in Scotland to film the episodes; the series also recently filmed in Czech Republic, particularly Prague, for some exterior scenes.
