The wait for "Outlander" season 2 is still on as fans will have to wait for a few more months before they can see Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) again. The cast and crew are currently hard at work filming new episodes in Scotland, and recently, co-executive producer Matthew B. Roberts took to social media to give an update about production.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, Roberts tweeted, "Going location scouting for @Outlander_Starz final block. Getting closer…ever closer to #Outlander S2 #thesoonerwefinishthesooneryouwatchit."

Season 2 is based on Diana Gabaldon's second "Outlander" novel titled "Dragonfly in Amber." While the first season was shot entirely in Scotland, season 2—which takes Jamie and Claire to Paris—is filmed in Scotland and Prague.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly last July, executive producer Ronald D. Moore talked about their itinerary and the chosen places that will stand in for Paris. Moore explained that they shot the street scenes for Paris in Prague, while indoor shoots were done in Scotland. He revealed that the crew built interiors on their sound stages and looked for houses or exteriors that could pass as someone's Parisian apartment or palace.

"When you see our characters going through the streets of Paris it will be the streets of Prague, primarily," said Moore. He added that there are some locations in Prague that will serve as the Palace of Versailles.

Versailles is a big part of season 2 as Claire and Jamie will have to make an audience with the king and mingle with the people who are around him as they search for Charles Stuart in hopes of stopping the Jacobite rebellion and preventing the slaughter in Culloden Moor.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the show's official Instagram account also posted a photo of a scene that will take place in a lavish Parisian mansion. In the photo, a few members of the household help dressed in 18th century garb are setting the table for a big celebration, and it looks like Claire and Jamie will be seen at an elegant dinner party when the show returns.

As for now, no premiere date has been announced for season 2 of "Outlander," but it is expected that the show will return in spring 2016.
