After the official Twitter account of "One-Punch Man" confirmed that the anime adaptation of the popular superhero parody will have a second season, more rumors about the show's plot emerged online.

One of the speculations about the plot of "One-Punch Man" season 2 suggests that protagonist Saitama will possibly face more powerful enemies in the upcoming season.

In the first season of the Japanese anime series, Saitama's biggest opponent is the alien named Boros. Although the evil alien managed to challenge the world's most powerful being in the series, Saitama still managed to beat the leader of The Dark Matter Thieves with his signature one-punch move.

But according to University Herald, the upcoming season of "One Punch Man" will introduce more sinister characters that could be as ruthless and as strong as Boros. They will reportedly challenge the strength of the show's protagonist. Does it mean that Saitama needs to unleash more punches to be able to defeat his new enemies?

The report also claimed that the upcoming season of "One Punch Man" will finally reveal how Saitama got his out-of-this-world strength. In the first season, Saitama claimed that three years of strenuous exercise routine that was composed of daily sit-ups, push-ups, and 10-kilometer runs gave him his superpowers.

However, Saitama's cyborg disciple Genos remains unconvinced that he developed his superpowers through exercise. Based on speculations, the protagonist's baldness has something to do with his one-punch strength.

Meanwhile, CBR claimed that fans could expect to see the Hero Association be given more emphasis in the second season of "One Punch Man." The organization debuted in the middle of the first season when Saitama and Genos joined them. However, the backstory of the institution remains unknown.

Saitama and Genos are also expected to meet new allies in "One Punch Man" season 2, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2017.
