Will Storybrooke turn frozen soon?

The upcoming episode of "Once Upon a Time" will be filled with icy fury as a new character frames Elsa for turning the town into a cold frosty land.

ABC recently came out with the plot synopsis of the show's forthcoming third episode entitled "Rocky Road."

The synopsis reads: "When an icy spell is cast on Marian [Christie Laing], which will ultimately freeze her heart and kill her, the Storybrooke residents place the blame on Elsa. But unbeknownst to anyone, a mysterious woman who runs the town's ice cream parlor has the same powers as Elsa and is trying to frame her."

This means that the owner of the ice cream shop called Any Given Sundae is wreaking havoc at the expense of Elsa, played by guest actress Georgina Haig. The still-unnamed ice cream lady will be portrayed by another guest star, Elizabeth Mitchell.

Furthermore, fans will have a chance to see how Arendelle looked like in the past, as Elsa and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) attempt to stop Hans (Tyler Jacob Moore) from completely taking over the kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Storybrooke residents will also have to deal with problems of their own. In the third episode, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and David (Josh Dallas) will discover Will Scarlet (Michael Socha) staying in the tent of Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).

Regina and Henry, played by Lana Parilla and Jared Gilmore, will also try to find out who the author of the fairy tale book is.  The Knave is also said to make a comeback appearance during the third episode.

There will be an in-depth feature about Emma's backstory in the episode as well. This is one of the things that fans are waiting for.

"Once Upon a Time" season 4 episode 3 will be aired on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
