Previously, it was rumored that the next-gen Pascal graphics processing units by NVIDIA will roll out this year. Although specific release dates for the new peripherals have yet to be confirmed, speculations on when fans can expect the GPUs and how powerful they are continue to float online.

According to TechFrag, a leaked document details how the new NVIDIA Pascal GPUs will offer distinct advantages over other graphics cards. Reportedly, the entire lineup will be composed of at least five iterations, namely the GTX 980 Ti, GTX Titan X, GeForce X80, GeForce X80Ti and GeForce X80 Titan. In the lineup, the last one, the GeForce X80 Titan, is considered to be the most powerful GPU in the series.

Although the entire GeForce X lineup is composed of the top-tier units in the Pascal series, it seems that NVIDIA opted for different approaches in their architecture. The industry follower noted that based on the document, the GP104 (GeForce X80) will offer only GDDR5 support, not the next-gen GDDR5X module. Previously, it was reported that the premium iterations of the Pascal GPUs will have GDDR5X modules at the minimum since it offers at least twice the bandwidth and capacity of GDDR5 and it suits the top-tier specs of the lineup.

As for the release date of the new NVIDIA Pascal lineup, it is rumored that the rollout will start next month. According to Crossmap, the Titan-based GP 100 cards will debut in April, followed by their base models in June. The other cards in the series, particularly the more powerful GP 104-based units, will most likely make their launch by mid-2016, possibly at the Computex 2016.

The industry observer added that NVIDIA has also already made its schedule roadmap for the next-gen Volta GPUs. Reportedly, NVIDIA will be giving its Pascal lineup at least two years to perform, with the next-gen Volta GPUs releasing by 2018.
