Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder) will have a tough job proving her adopted son's innocence in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans."

In "Blue Christmas," TV Guide reports that a series of burglaries happening during the Christmas holidays will alert the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). But when the agents launch their investigation, they will find the trail leading to the Wade family's doorstep. If it is proven that the doctor's son is somehow connected to the crimes, will she let justice be served, even if it means watching him rot in jail?

Meanwhile, the Secret Santa exchange among the NCIS agents is around the corner. Unfortunately for Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant), she will pick the notoriously fussy Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula). Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black) and Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) are aware of her predicament and will not hesitate to tease her. Will Sonja be able to give her boss the Christmas gift he wants?

Last episode, Pride and LaSalle relived the first case they ever worked together after a recent case that the NCIS was working bore a similar modus. Back in 2005, a murder took place just before Hurricane Katrina hit the city. All the evidences to the incident were washed away and it remained unsolved. All they knew was that the shooter had a blue tattoo on his neck and face and the murder weapon used was a 12-gauge shotgun.

LaSalle was deeply disturbed and asked Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) to salvage the ten-year-old documents they managed to save back then. The latter discovered that the blue tattoo was not inked after all, but the residue of a medicine used to treat a certain condition. The killer was suffering from Argyria brought about by exposure to colloidal silver. Wade managed to trace a patient who got treatment for the disease and learned that he had been imprisoned for 10 years for armed robbery.

It turned out the culprit hid the money before, but was unable to retrieve it due to the hurricane. With the perpetrator out of jail, he was determined to enjoy every cent of the dough he worked so hard for to rob. In the end, Pride and LaSalle got him and solved the case that haunted them their entire career.
