'NCIS LA' season 8 spoilers: EP John Peter Kousakis teases that team will begin prep first week of July

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 is shaping up to be one exciting and amazing season, according to executive producer John Peter Kousakis.

He revealed on Twitter that the preparation for "NCIS: LA" season 8 will begin on the first Tuesday of July. He promised that fans "will be rewarded for your loyalty and patience" in the upcoming season.

Kousakis has been gushing about the upcoming season of the action television series on his Twitter as well. In one post he revealed he recently met up with what he called the "best judges of what's to come" on "NCIS: LA" season 8.

He urged fans to "stay tuned" and promised that in "NCIS: LA" season 8, fans "will [be] happy to know, the stories will be best ever."

A new showrunner will be coming in on "NCIS: LA" season 8. Shane Brennan, the creator of the series and showrunner since its inception steps down and gives the floor to R. Scott Gemmill.

There's a lot to expect on "NCIS: LA" season 8, and one fans will definitely be excited about this season is Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) possibly proposing to (Daniela Ruah).

The couple already took their relationship to the next level last season by moving in together. In "NCIS: LA" season 8, marriage will be on their minds.

"We have an idea for how to do that that I want to play out. I already know how we're going to do it. ," Gemmill told TV Guide. "It's just, the fans have waited long enough that we want it to be worth the wait," the new "NCIS: LA" showrunner went on to say.

More details about the new season should be out in the months to come. Kousakis says that "great things are cooking."
